Celebrating The Lenox Knit & Crochet Shawl Patterns
Pattern launches are always special but the Lenox Knit Shawl & Lenox Crochet Shawl launch are EXTREME kind of special. This is because I have teamed up with some incredible makers to bring these patterns to life and also host a pretty rad giveaway.
So read on, learn about this design combo and my fellow collaborators and see how you can win all the yarn to make your own Lenox Shawl, a Stitch & Hustle Project Bag and a FULL SET of Knitter’s Pride Zing Interchangeable Needles! Yep. I said it…. you can win ALL THAT!
Continuing to explore my fiber art inspired by my love for NYC, the Lenox Shawl Free Crochet & Knit Patterns are named for Lenox Avenue where the Jazz Museum of Harlem is located. Like Jazz, both the Lenox Shawl crochet and knitting patterns have subtle twists and turns on a steady stream of rhythmic stitching.
And keeping in that New York City vibe, I of course turned to my favorite NYC Indie Dyer (and trained vocalist and lover of Jazz), Stephanie of Asylum Fibers for the yarn for this beauty. Her colors flow like the melodies of the jazz that inspired this piece: always soulful, unexpected and always perfect! You can snag one of the Lenox Shawl kits from Asylum Fibers here and each kit includes BOTH patterns!
Architecture and music have always inspired me and fed to my creative journey. And my life. Celebrating them together in the Lenox Shawl Free Crochet & Knit Patterns seemed too perfect.
Like Jazz, the Lenox Shawl Free Crochet & Knit Patterns take you on a journey that starts one way and slowly shifts gears but still keeps you gripped with its movement and then you have a masterpiece when it is done.
I had so much fun designing the Lenox Knit Shawl and the Lenox Crochet Shawl because it is always a challenge and joy bringing my design forth in each medium. I knew I wanted them to be a journey and introduction into lace but still beginner-friendly. I also wanted to celebrate and honor the inspiration.
I feel that both the Lenox Knit Shawl Free Pattern and the Lenox Crochet Shawl Free Pattern do just that in a fabulous way. Each Lenox Shawl has subtle beginner lace elements so any level of knitter or crocheter can create a fabulous shawl.
I also like that this design allows the yarn to be the star. So if you have been holding on to that amazing skein in your stash, these are the perfect patterns for it. Grab a Lenox Shawl kit from Asylum Fibers and create something magical in your own Lenox Shawl color story!
And a BIG thank you to Nkese of Cosmic Crochet Creations and Natalie of Detroit Knots for being part of bringing these designs to life!
