I am so excited to bring you the All Lined Up Blanket Square Free Crochet Pattern for 2023 Moogly CAL - which happens to be the 10th Anniversary of the MOOGLY CAL!
Can you even believe it!
I have long admired the annual Moogly CAL! and been so grateful to be part of it as a contributor these last several years. This is my 4th square! You can see all the fun here.
Why we love the Moogly Blog Blanket CAL
The MOOGLY CAL has a genius way of making an afghan less overwhelming by spreading it out over a year just ONE SQUARE AT A TIME! It is so special to be part of this amazing CAL once again.
And don’t forget to show off your finished squares!!!!
All Lined Up Blanket Square Free Crochet Pattern for the Moogly Blog CAL is easy to customize!
The All Lined Up Blanket Square Free Crochet Pattern leaves lots of room for the imagination. It is even rows in width and you can play around with how you do the stripes if you want to mix it up.
You can also make it 2 colors if that is your jam and mix around where the inset stripes are placed. Whatever your color scheme, the beauty of this square is that there are lots of opportunities to make it your very own style.
The other great thing about the All Lined Up Blanket Square Free Crochet Pattern for 2023 Moogly CAL is that it is chock full of TEXTURE! Yup - I said it… really cozy texture that is perfect for blankets or even some home decor.
And hey - before we go on to the square itself, let’s chat about gauge. Seriously though.
Anyone who knows how things go around here at Stitch & Hustle, knows that we say it all the time: GAUGE MATTERS!
But in truth and really for this project … Gauge matters to the point that you need consistency. But if you have gauge issues you can add rounds of the trim. I designed this square specifically so that you would be able to make it not only the 12'“ square that is called for in the Moogly Afghan CAL, but also continue to make these in many sizes to enjoy for various projects.
Moogly also has some wonderful tips to make your square just the size you need for your project. Check it out here.
