Celebration Wreath step by step tutorial

SUPPLIES & MATERIALS:
300 Yarns Category 5 Bulky Yarn - I used Asylum Fibers for samples
1 wreath frame or round cut cardboard
3 rolls 7/8th” wide ribbon in colors of choice - 1 roll each color
1 color A will be your base and colors B & C will be your contrast ribbon
Scissors
Large needle for tidying up pom pom ends
Glue gun (optional but recommended)
1 Large Clover Pom Pom maker
1 Medium Clover Pom Pom maker

NOTE ON SUPPLIES:
I chose the bright green for my wreath ribbon because it cuaght the bright pop in the speckle yarn I was using. The wreath ribbon gets well hidden but can be seen from some angles or pop throuh depending on how you place or glue your pom poms. You may want a more subtle or neautral base ribbon color A ribbon.

Step 1: Make all your elements
Using your Clover Pom Pom Makers - or whatever pom pom maker you choose,
Make 3 Large Pom Poms
Make 15 medium Pom Poms

Trim your pom poms to be rounded and leave about 2” of yarn tail on each that you will use to affix the poms later on the wreath

Set aside your pom poms and begin to prep your wreath.

Taking one end of your wreath base Ribbon Color A, weave the ribbon throughout the wreathe frame as shown below. You want to weave in and out creating ridges and covering the frame wires. If you made a cardboard frame instead of using a wire wreath frame then you want to tightly go back and forth in layers.

Step 2: ASSEMBLY

Affix the 3 large Pom Poms at the bottom of the wreath frame by tying them on. Where you place these 3 poms will become the bottom of the frame.

Take 12 medium pom poms and tie them around the frome to fill out the frame.

Take the 3 remaining medium pom poms and place them over the 3 large pom poms, pushing them super close together.

When you are happy with the placement of the pom poms, cut the ties and glue them to the frame to secure them.

TIP: Wait until all pom poms are placed before cutting any ends or gluing them.

After the glue is dried from the pom poms, starting at the outside of one of the big pom poms, take your ribbon and wrap it around the entire frame and pom poms starting with color A and stop when you get to the outside of the other big pom pom.

Repeat the above step with color B ribbon.

Glue those top accent ribbons into place.

You can also make a full ring of medium pom poms and add a single accent bow at the bottom like shown here.
