Flower Crown Crochet Pattern & Tutorial
MATERIALS :
Stunning String Studio Single Ply DK or Worsted 15 gms
5mm crochet hook (also can use a 5.5 mm)
Large needle to weave ends
Headband with “trellis” style
Stitches Used / Abbreviations:
ch – chain
dc-double crochet
tr-treble crochet
st(s) – stitch(es)
sl.st.- slip stitch
v-stitch – [dc, ch2, dc] in same stitch
NOTES:

Stunning String Studio provided us with the materials but you can also use any yarn you have on hand with appropriate needle sizes for that yarn The ones shown are large sized as shown with materials noted.
We suggest that you make at least 5 flowers and attach to headband.
Of course you can make as many or as few as you want.
Begin with Ch 46
Row 1: dc in 6th st from hook (acts as first v-s0, *skip 1 st, v-stitch in next st*. Repeat from * to * to end 21 v-stitches.
In the next row you are going to form the petals in the ch 2 spaces of the v-stitches.
Row 2: ch 2 ,turn. In the ch2 of v-st: dc, ch1, (tc, ch1) 3 times, dc, ch2, sl.st. *In the next ch2 space of v-st: sl. st., ch2, dc, ch 1, (tc, ch1) 3 times, dc, ch2, sl.st. Repeat from * to * to last v-stitch. In last v-st form a small petal: sl.st., ch2, 3 dc, ch2, sl.st.
Fasten off and cut at least a 12” tail. You should have 21 petals.
As shown in this video tutorial: Starting at the last and smallest petal made, roll up your flower keeping everything as even as possible. Make sure the base is fairly flat.
ASSEMBLY:
As shown in the tutorial below, use the remainder of the tail to secure your flower at the base by stitching through the trellis of the headband.
