WHAT ARE THE DATES OF THE STUNNING STITCH UP?
The Stunning Stitch Up runs over two days: Friday October 11th & Saturday October 12th 2019
WHERE DOES STUNNING STITCH UP HAPPEN?
Stunning Stitch Up takes place in Sycamore, IL USA.
WHAT IS THE NEAREST AIRPORT?
The nearest airports are in Chicago, IL USA. O’Hare or Midway.
ARE MEALS INCLUDED?
YES! Your registration ticket includes dinner Friday, Light Breakfast Saturday, Snacks and Lunch Saturday.
WHAT IF I I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND ALLERGIES?
We provide meals at each activity but want to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our attendees. Please contact Michele using this form and note your reservation order number and your allergies.
DO I HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO KNIT OR CROCHET?
NO!!! Each year I am amazed and impressed by those who have never held knitting needles or a crochet hook and join us at Stitch Up Evens to learn and fall in love with fiber. We have experienced teachers on hand as well as community members there to help you get started on your fiber path. Truly if you want to learn, you are welcome to join us!
IS THIS ONLY FOR KNITTERS?
NO! While much of the event features knitting, we have a full crochet workshop and skilled crochet instructors and community members all weekend. Tamara of Moogly has designed TWO new crochet designs just for the Stunning Stitch Up.
CAN I ATTEND ALONE?
YES!!! You will instantly have friends and Stitch Up Events are created to build and foster community. Come alone or with a group and you will feel welcomed!
SHOULD I BRING MY WIP?
Sure! Why not? We provide a kit to make with ALL you need to make it at each event activity, however I never leave home without a wip or two and I know many of you don’t either! Bring it along!
ARE ALL ACTIVITIES IN ONE PLACE?
Friday evening we will be at a location offsite - within walking distance to the hotel.
Saturday we will be at Stunning String Studio
IS THE YARN FOR THE PROJECT INCLUDED?
YES! Your registration ticket INCLUDES yarn and all materials for the event workshops and activities.
IS HOTEL INCLUDED?
Your registration does not include accommodations.
But… we have secured a rate at the Holiday Inn which is steps away from where our event activities will be. Our rate is $99 per night! To book your room call the hotel directly at 815-748-7400 and give our room block code of SSU or just mention Stunning Stitch Up block. Our rate is guaranteed through September 27, 2019 to make your reservations.
HOW DO I GET A TICKET?
You buy tickets and register at the Stunning String event page here
CAN I PAY AT THE EVENT?
Unfortunately we cannot take walk-ins and you must register in advance.
WILL I GET TO SELECT THE COLORS OF MY KITS?
YES! When you register you will be able to select the colors of your set. You will be able to select from these event colorsets:

WHAT IS THE BASE OF MY KITS?
You will be able to select if you want the Plump DK base OR Twinkle DK base.
MY PLANS AND SCHEDULE HAVE CHANGED, HOW DO I GET A REFUND?
We can offer a full refund within 48 hours of purchase. Email a reply to your order confirmation to request your refund. Unfortunately we cannot offer any refunds after October 1, 2019.
MY PLANS AND SCHEDULE HAVE CHANGED, AND I CANNOT ATTEND. HOW CAN I TRANSFER MY TICKET?
If you cannot attend, you may send someone else in your place at no extra charge. Email us by replying to your ticket confirmation to let us know the person who will be attending.
DO I HAVE TO ATTEND BOTH DAYS?
At this time we only offer the full weekend event package. If we can add single Saturday tickets we will make an announcement.
WHAT TIME IS THE EVENT?
The Stunning Stitch Up Begins Friday at 6pm and ends Saturday at 5pm.
The Friday pre-game Yarn Shopping Experience is on Friday October 11th at 3pm.
CAN I BRING A FRIEND?
We love friends! But they must be registered as space is limited.
