Sunshine Market Bag Free Crochet Pattern

I have been having so much fun creating new bags and accessories using the Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie cotton I was recently gifted. It is really a durable and lovely category 4 fiber. I made this market tote bag - which quite easily serves as a beach bag as well. You can make the strap as long or short as you like. Since I go to the pool or beach more than the market, I opted for a longer strap to carry my towel and sundries. I hope you love this pattern and make yourself the perfect market / beach tote.

Color A: Sunshine, 1 Skein (142 yards each)
Color B: White, 1 Skein (153 yards)
Color C: Lemon, 1 Skein (153 yards)
Crochet Hook Size I-9/ 5.5 mm
Tapestry needle to weave ends

Rounds 36-37:  ch 1 (does NOT act as st), hdc all the way around, sl st to first hdc to complete the Round.  94 hdc

Do NOT Fasten off. Go right into creating the strap.

CREATE STRAP
Row 1: Ch 1, 10 sc, turn.
Rows 2 – desired length: Ch 2 (acts as first hdc), 9 hdc across, Turn.

Fasten off. Sew end of Strap to other side of Bag. Weave in ends.
