Crafting With Lion Brand To STOMP Out Bullying

I am so honored Lion Brand Yarn invited me to contribute a pattern and be part of their #HatNotHate Anti-Bullying campaign. This topic is so important. Having been the victim of bullying (within the Maker community if you can believe it) I know first hand how this can truly effect people. I know how it effected me.
Lion Brand has teamed up with STOMP Out Bullying and will be visiting schools in October to raise awareness on ways to prevent bullying.
From their website: STOMP Out Bullying provides specific resources for dealing with bullying that begins after the last class bell has rung. It works to reduce and prevent bullying, cyberbullying, and other digital abuse. In addition, it educates against homophobia, LGBTQ discrimination, racism and hatred.
Crafting is an incredible bridge builder. So while the campaign is to raise awareness, I think it is also an opportunity to bring us together through our common fiber, and humanity and use craft to heal.
Here are three ways YOU can get involved:
1. Make Blue Hats and Rock Them All October Long!
Make & Share your blue hats on social media with their hashtag: #HatNotHate - I have offered these four free patterns here:
2. Shop Blue Lion Brand Yarns where a percentage will go towards this campaign.
3. If you would like to make Blue Hats to be distributed in October when the team from Lion Brand & STOMP Out Bullying visit schools, you can ship them to:
*** they must arrive before September 24, 2018 ***
Lion Brand Yarn Co

But the MOST important way to be involved is to talk, share experiences, show kindness and compassion toward other humans. That is the one TRUE way to Stomp Out Bullying.
