Pipirit Top Free Crochet Pattern
/We love supporting other designers and great collaborations here at Stitch & Hustle and that is just what we have for you today… a great collaboration featuring a new guest designer, Elisabeth from Desamour Designs. Learn more about her in her feature here. We hope you have already had the chance to learn about Elisabeth and all of the wonderful projects she has in the works. But if you haven’t we are happy to start you on your way!
We also included one of our fave indie dyers for this collaboration: Asylum Fibers. (You know how we love Asylum Fibers!) Stephanie dyed up some amazing and very special colors for these and if you get the kit, it includes the pattern pdf too. Snag a kit here.
Bringing designers and dyers and artisans together is what Stitch & Hustle is all about and this collaboration arrives just in time for warmer weather too! Sometimes it feels like warm weather wear does not get the same attention as items for the cooler months. Let’s change that!
The pipirit is the Haitian-Creole name for the Kingbird, a Caribbean tiny bird. This top’s name was chosen by Elisabeth after her sister mentioned how the Tunisian knit stitch reminder her of the bird’s footprint. It’s so fun to picture this cute little bird hopping around, creating this pretty top!
I also really like how Elisabeth sized the PiPirit Pattern. It is definitely inclusive sizing and based on bust size as opposed to standard sizes. This allows you to make the size true to fit the e way you want. That is really awesome!
