Yarn With Purpose: Handspun Hope Collaboration Launch

I have been a huge fan Handspun Hope for many years. I love everything about them from their mission to the yarn they spin and dye to their popular Mapenzi Skirts; of which I already own 3 and have my eye on another print I love. So to say I am honored to have this chance to collaborate with such an incredible organization is an understatement.

In collaboration with Handspun Hope, we created 2 Capsule Collections to highlight their fiber offerings. Today we are so excited to be launching the Hope Capsule Collection of knitting patterns & kits. There will also be a collection of crochet patterns and kits launching in the coming months but you can get a sneak preview below.

In addition to this Hope Capsule Collection of patterns & kits, you can also get some of Handspun Hope’s most popular patterns now available through our Stitch In Common efforts.

In addition to being a fully compliant member of the Fair Trade Federation, Handspun Hope empowers it’s community by offering dignity through employment. The over 120 women employed by Handspun Hope receive above-average salaries, a safe working environment, healthcare and access to daily group and individual trauma counseling, as well as other benefits. It is truly a joy to work with an organization with such an ethos.

The Hope Knit Capsule Collection of kits & patterns features seven designs all inspired by Rawanda and the Handspun Hope community. Each is designed to help you create your perfect handmade look.

The Echo Park Capelet design is a beginner friendly approach to a stylish cozy capelet that could not be easier to make! The Echo Park Capelet features Handspun Hope Worsted and is a great transitional garment to take you in and out of cooler weather. Ideal for layering, you can dress it up or dress it down – the possibilities for styling the Echo Park Capelet are endless.

The Ferry Ride Tank Top was designed as a classic tank top and is perfect for beginners looking to take on making their own garments. The Ferry Ride Tank Top features Handspun Hope Ethiopian Cotton which gives it subtle drape and style.

The Chunky Montgomery Knit Shawl is a new twist on one of our most popular designs. The Chunky Montgomery Knit Shawl features Handspun Hope Worsted and that pop of trim is a total wow factor. This can easily be made to a glorious larger size by simply adding a skein in pattern.
