Each year the Stitch & Hustle Blog Hop features a single crochet stitch. Bringing together my fellow designers & bloggers to create a design featuring a common stitch in the blog hop constantly blows me away with creativity.
That is what I love about being part of a creative community in crochet. I have always loved how a single stitch can be used and interpreted so many different ways.
Past Blog Hops have featured some of my favorite stitches:
The Great Granny Blog Hop
Bobble Stitch Blog Hop
Spike Stitch Blog Hop
Perfect Picot Blog Hop
As you probably guessed this year, Puff The Magic Stitch Free Crochet Pattern Blog Hop!, features the Puff Stitch! And our bloggers delivered bringing you everything from hats, to socks we truly have you covered from head to toe with Puff Stitch designs!
I call the Puff Stitch a βmagic stitchβ because it is such a special crochet stitch. The Puff Stitch can be used to add texture to a design or used for the whole design itself creating a multidimensional piece.
You can also add a loop or take a loop away and make big or small βpuffsβ throughout. It is a wonderful stitch to design with and our Puff The Magic Stitch Free Crochet Pattern Blog Hop truly delivered.
We hope you enjoy these designs and make them all.
The designers & bloggers in the Puff The Magic Stitch Free Crochet Pattern Blog Hop! each created something magical using some of the fabulous yarns from our sponsor We Crochet. One of the best things about working with a team like at We Crochet is they are so supportive and have so many wonderful choices of yarn to pick from.
We are madly in love with how the Pufftastic Bandana Cowl by Underground Crafter, Maryjane's Puff Socks by ACCROchet and the Azalea Puff Stitch Hat by The Stitchin' Mommy all used the Hawthorne fingering yarn to create such truly different designs!
One of my favorite lines of yarn from We Crochet is their Brava series of yarns. And the Brava Worsted was a big hit with the Puff The Magic Stitch Blog Hop designers too! The Winter Minty Wrap Design by 2 Bossay Knits by Michelle Renee, Puff Star Afghan Hexagon by Mamas2Hands, and Puff Stitch Stripes Blanket by 5 Little Monsters all featured Brava Worsted. And the Talara Hooded Duster by Crystalized Designs features the wonderful Brava 500!
Many of our Puff The Magic Stitch Blog Hop designers got those fall vibes going by using the City Tweed Aran from We Crochet. I love how these designs are so different and all showcase the beauty of this yarn. Your hands will be cozy with these Aqueduct Puff Stitch Mittens by Hooked for Life, keep your neck toasty with the Yuba Cowl by The Unraveled Mitten, or go for extra cozy with the Snowbank Infinity Scarf by Desert Blossom Crafts. Then top it off with the Olivia Puff Stitch Hat by Oombawka Design Crochet to keep your noggin warm and add the Crochet Sunburst Bag by Designs by Phanessa to show off your style and you will be head to toe FABULOUS in the City Tweed Aran from We Crochet!
The Polka Dot Puffs Cowl by Salty Pearl Crochet and the Strut Your Puff Cowl by The Loopy Lamb both used the lovely Swish Worsted and this yarn will keep you in style because it comes in so many beautiful jewel tones to suit any palette! The Plush Puff Pumpkin by Moogly shows off the awesome Wool of The Andes and the Gables Wrap n' Shawl by Stitch & Hustle takes a twist on using Dishie Cotton.
