With rhythmic sections of open lace and an openwork center spine, our Sanctuary Crochet Shawl strikes the right balance between elegance and bohemian charm.
The sample uses a cotton yarn but this shawl would be lovely in any other DK-weight fiber - merino wool or a wool/cotton blend would be great for cooler temperatures!

NOTES
Please read through the entire pattern and all notes before beginning.
Wet blocking serves this design best; the shawl will grow considerably with blocking.
Gauge is not particularly important for this pattern. It matters more to have a fabric that you will like. It is meant to be stitched loosely.
This pattern is written in sections, and rows are written as such.
A stitch pattern chart is included at the end of the pattern.
