Gables Wrap Free Crochet Pattern
/I am thrilled about sharing my design of the Gables Wrap Free Crochet Pattern for the Puff The Magic Stitch Blog Hop. The Gables Wrap is perfect for transitional weather and adding a pop of color to your every day look.
I love the Gables Wrap because it is that perfect extra layer as seasons change.
I chose We Crochet Dishie Yarn for the Gables Wrap Free Crochet Pattern and I know what you are thinking… Dishie for a wrap? Yup! I happen to really love We Crochet Dishie Cotton Yarn for things like the Gables Wrap.
It is an incredibly sturdy and durable fiber that is spun very well so it really holds the stitches. I went up a hook size for a “looser” stitch style to create a breathable texture to the fabric and could not be happier with the result.

The great thing about the Gables Wrap Free Crochet Pattern is that because of the Dishie Cotton, it both flows and holds its shape at the same time as you wear it. It also has some beautiful texture created by that special Puff Stitch which is why it is perfect to be part of the Puff The Magic Stitch Blog Hop.
I am about 5’2” and wearing size small and created this in a wide variety of sizes. As you can see below, Gables Wrap Free Crochet Pattern is great for all sizes. My friend Kim is a 1X typically and also wearing the size small!
So truly you can make whatever size you want for as much flow and fabric coverage as you want.
The Gables Wrap Free Crochet Pattern has a great rhythmic repeat of rows so you can get in your stitching zone, pop on your fave binge show and just let it fly off your hook!

BLOCK BEFORE MOVING ON TO ASSEMBLY
ASSEMBLY & FINISHING:
Fold fabric in half lengthwise and join at one corner attaching them together. This is now INSIDE OUT.
Measure 13 (14, 15, 16)” from fold and fasten together. This creates your neck opening.
Then seam the two sides together from the corner to the fastener using sc or whip stitch. (Leave enough for the neck if you go further up on the seam)
Then sl st around the remaining edge where the neck hole will be to add a finishing touch to the neck line.
Slip Stitch back down the seam you just created.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Turn Right Side Out.
